With the end of the wind moratorium in Newfoundland, development has begun in key regions of the province. Growler Energy is acting as the local development partner to Pattern Energy, who is proposing a two-phased 1.2 GW wind-powered green fuels production and export facility located at the Port of Argentia.

This Project will include a renewable energy powered green hydrogen and ammonia production and export facility located at a dockside location on Port lands will produce green fuels readily available for export to European markets. The project is expected to require capital investment in excess of USD $4.0B, representing one of the largest renewable energy investments in Canadian history.

The project is also supported by other companies providing engineering services that include Canadian Projects Limited and SEM Ltd.
